Gator Levings, as he is locally known in Columbia County attended Columbia County Schools and graduated from Columbia High School and Lake City Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Forest Technology.
Gator’s family has been in the timber business for over 40 years in the and as a kid, Gator hand-cropped tobacco, loaded watermelons, worked at a feed store, for a surveying company for two summers, put up fence, planted pine trees (by hand and with a machine), planted corn and did tractor work mowing and harrowing.

Gator loves to hunt, fish, and work on his hunting property and has been married to the former Emily Ann Griffis of Fargo, Georgia for 26 years. They have two wonderful children, a son Staten Levings, and his wife Brooke, and a daughter Lindsay.
